In partnership with Centium, a NSW based audit and consulting firm, BSR Solutions were commissioned to develop an Enterprise Architecture for HPCA. The organisation was faced with a number of decisions regarding the future of their ICT operations and wished to make future informed decisions based on a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture and Roadmap.
The definition of Enterprise Architecture varies between the various expert groups which represent best practice in the industry. Some common definitions include:

Gartner Research Group: “Enterprise architecture (EA) is the process of translating business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change by creating, communicating, and improving the key principles and models that describe the enterprise’s future state and enable its evolution.”
US Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) Group: “Enterprise architecture is a management practice to maximize the contribution of an agency’s resources, IT investments, and system development activities to achieve its performance goals. Architecture describes clear relationships from strategic goals and objectives through investments to measurable performance improvements for the entire enterprise or a portion (or segment) of the enterprise.”
