DHS Call Centre Consolidation (CCC) – This business case provided options and a recommendation for consolidating the Call Centre (or Contact Centre) Infrastructure, including Disaster Recovery for all business units of DHS. This project will facilitate the potential for connection of remote Agents from Regional areas into the Call Centre operations. The project will also provide the opportunity for other NSW Government agencies to use the call centre infrastructure.
DHS Consolidated Email Project (CEP) – This business case provided options to deliver an integrated whole of DHS electronic email system across all agencies in the Department. An integrated email system, as well as delivering basic email services, will provide integrated diary, scheduling, calendar and tasking functionality and collaborative tools which underpins the operation and provision of services by DHS.
DHS HSNet Migration and Enhancement Project (HSN) – This business case provided options to migrate and enhance the HSNet website and its service directory, ServiceLink. They have been developed with considerable investment from several NSW Government agencies. HSNet is a secure website, available to workers in NSW human service agencies, both government and non-government. Enhancing the HSNet interface so that it streamlines and simplifies NGO interactions with the NSW Government, further supports non-government workers, making their reporting processes more efficient and thereby freeing up resources for frontline service delivery.
DHS Source to Pay Project (S2P) – With the amalgamation of the various agencies to form the Department of Human Services (DHS) and with the implementation of the Shared Services model, the NSW Government required DHS to make major cost savings and other efficiency improvements. As part of making the savings, this business case reviewed options for a major area of potential improvement within DHS – the procurement and contract management processes, which are targeted to improve with an integrated Source to Pay (S2P) project.
DHS Single SAP/ERP solution (SAP/ERP) – This business case considered a business transformation initiative driven by the need to consolidate all three existing DHS SAP/ERP installations into one, which will be managed by BusinessLink on behalf of DHS business units. The program includes the standardisation, streamlining and automation of SAP business processes to enable the extension of the self-service delivery model to agency personnel. One of the key objectives of this project is to ensure the consolidated SAP/ERP operates within a standard configuration suitable for all DHS business units.
